Fullstack Engineer

**About the company:** Mantra Bunkyo City, Tokyo We want to make manga accessible to people regardless of what language they speak. That is why we're researching new machine translation solutions and developing an English-language learning service based around manga. **Responsibilities:** Designing, developing, and operating our web services Managing an engineering team of about five members Building and managing development roadmaps based on business strategies and goals. Improving development processes and eliminating technical debt to enhance productivity. Extracting user issues and considering feature specifications based on user interviews and data analysis. Leading projects where development is the primary focus (e.g., discuss with clients to design APIs) Requirements Proven experience (3+ years) in leading a team of engineers. Experience in designing backend APIs and database schemas for commercial services of a certain scale. Hands-on experience in implementing web services from frontend to backend. Experience leading the end-to-end development process of a service, from feature specification and implementation to testing and release. Conversational Japanese language skills. You’ll occasionally speak with our clients in Japanese, but we don’t expect you to be fully fluent in the language. Nice to haves While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following. Experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead. Experience in designing, operating, and constructing backend and infrastructure for large-scale services. Experience in promoting agile development processes such as Scrum.
