Description
**About the company:** As an Engineering PR Manager, you’ll help us promote our software development activities to outside the company and in this role, you will be the bridge between us and the developer community, fostering a vibrant ecosystem around & inside our company and department. You will be responsible for gathering & promoting information regarding our tech & developers, leading the effort in technical content creation and planning & executing internal and external events relating to the engineering organization. We care about incorporating and evaluating the trends overseas in our products and culture and we hope that you’re keeping an eye out for new trends and design patterns as well. Always striving to grow as a person and as a professional is something that our team is keen on and we hope that you share in this as well. Responsibilities Create high-quality content based on information(technical, cultural etc) derived from developers, outputting content such as blog posts, tweets, instagram posts, podcasts, and videos - both in English and Japanese Engage with the developer communities across various channels (forums, social media, GitHub, etc.), promoting events, job posts and disseminating information relating to our department, and fostering discussions. Plan, organize, and participate in developer events such as webinars, workshops, meetups, and conferences (both online and in-person) promoting our organization. Gather information regarding development trends and technological insights from the developer community and effectively communicate them to product, engineering, and marketing teams. Build and nurture relationships with key influencers, thought leaders and figures of importance in the regional & global developer ecosystem. Establish, track and report on key metrics to measure the impact and success of PR initiatives. Helping out with recruiting and onboarding new members Requirements Native proficiency in Japanese, or JLPT N1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. Familiarity with relevant developer tools, platforms, and ecosystems. Experience with utilizing technologies such as ChatGPT, Gemini or similar for information gathering and work optimization (creating documentation etc) Able to commute to the office and work on-site. Nice to haves While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following. Technical background with experience in software development and understanding of programming concepts. Demonstrated experience in creating content relating to engineering (e.g., blog posts, tutorials, documentation). Experience engaging with developer communities online and/or in person. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing developer needs. Empathy and a genuine desire to help developers succeed. Experience with working as a part of a larger development team Experience with leading, or assisting in leading, a team effort Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with Go, Node.js, Typescript, web development Public speaking experience at conferences, meetups, or webinars. Experience contributing to open-source projects. Familiarity with community management platforms and tools. Experience with developer marketing or technical evangelism. Understanding of developer pain points and workflows. Requirements
