Engineering Manager

Our commitment is to drive excellence, push technological boundaries, and transform the AEC as a whole. **Responsibilities:** Lead and direct engineering squads, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and reliable SaaS products Participate heavily in technical architecture discussions, ensuring longevity and scalable solutions which align with the product goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and customer success, to define and execute the product roadmap Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement within the engineering team Establish and implement engineering best practices, processes, and standards to ensure efficient and effective development cycles Contribute to the codebase when needed, following the same best practices and acting as a role model Mentor and develop engineering talent, providing guidance and support to help team members achieve their full potential Oversee recruitment, retention, and professional development of a high-performing engineering team Manage and optimize the engineering budget, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors, to understand their needs and ensure Tektome’s engineering efforts align with business objectives Represent Tektome’s engineering team internally and externally, acting as a technical spokesperson and advocate Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 10+ years of software engineering experience at a senior level, with at least 2 years experience as a lead Ability to relocate to Tokyo, Japan (availability for in-person meetings with our leadership team is required) Strong technical expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud-based solutions Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop talent Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences A humble spirit and a drive for continual self-improvementStrong technical expertise in software development, system architecture, and cloud-based solutions Nice to haves While not specifically required, tell us if you have any of the following.
