USAGSO STEMinist Speedsters: In Person Automotive Adventures

Ready, set, GO! USA Girl Scouts Overseas is thrilled to launch STEMinist Speedsters — a fast-paced, hands-on adventure into the world of cars, creativity, and clean energy! In this 3-hour in-person STEMinist event, you’ll dive into the science of speed and the power of the sun. Discover how cars move (and stop!), what makes them zoom faster, and how energy powers the vehicles of the future. You’ll get to: 🚗 Manufacture and race your own balloon-powered car 🔧 Design and test a LEGO® race car ☀️ Build and paint, a take-home solar-powered car Every participant will receive the STEMinist fun patch and automotive rocker, a snack , a make-and-take solar-powered car , and access to our virtual STEMinist series for the membership year—all for just $35 . Come join the race toward a brighter, greener future! Location Girl Scouts of Japan 1 Chome-40-3 Nishihara, Shibuya, Tokyo 151-0066, Japan The event location, Girl Scouts of Japan’s national office, can be reached by train or car. There is no parking available at the Girl Scouts of Japan office - paid parking is available in the area but it is very limited, so we recommend taking public transportation, if possible. If you are taking the train, the Yoyogi-Uehara and Hatagaya stations are about a 10-minute walk to the event location. Program Details Check-in will open at 9:45am. The event will start promptly at 10:00am. Please be on time! The event ends at 1:00pm. The $35 registration fee for this program covers all supplies, the STEM inist fun patch, a take-home car, and a snack. Additionally, your registration fee also includes complimentary registration in our year-long, virtual STEM inist Program Series . Already a Program Pass holder for the virtual STEM inist series? You should have received a discount code for this in-person session. If you didn't, please reach out to us at overseascustomercare@girlscouts.org. Girls must be a registered Girl Scout to attend. If you are not already a registered Girl Scout, you can register at checkout -- just select the Girl Scout Membership add-on in addition to your General Admission ticket. This is a drop off event. We are unable to accommodate parents and tag-a-longs. However, we do need adult volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering for the event, please be sure to add a Volunteer ticket to your order. If you don't see don't see any Volunteer tickets availiable, all roles are filled. This event is open to all program grade levels, Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors. A confirmation email with event details will be sent 1-week prior to the program to the email address provided during registration.
