Around 1000 Somei Yoshino cherry trees adorn Mount Konpira and the banks of the Seto River with their beautiful blossoms every spring, creating a stunning cherry blossom tunnel that spans two kilometers. This tunnel is said to be the largest sakura tunnel in the Tokai region. The Mount Konpira and Setogawa sakura festival takes place in early April and offers a variety of attractions such as taiko drum performances, a stage show, and a range of delicious gourmet foods to savor. In addition, visitors can enjoy a free amazake (sweet sake) service while admiring the stunning cherry blossoms. If you want a different experience, the cherry trees are also illuminated after dark, creating a magical ambiance.
