Take a seat on the Miyakawa river in Ise for one of the three biggest fireworks festivals in Japan. There are over 10,000 fireworks to be launched and pyrotechnicians from across the country attend to show off their skills. This is a competition, so you’ll be sure to see their best efforts! There will be shuttle busses running from Uji-Yamada and Ise-shi stations in the evening too. The display begins at 7.15 pm and will be done by 9 pm. If the weather is bad enough to cancel the event, it will be held on the 14th instead.
