All Japan Fireworks Display

The second of the Summer fireworks events on the Nagara river, this event takes place on the first Saturday of every August. Both events are competitive displays with pyrotechnicians traveling from far and wide to show off their best designs with Mount Kinka in the background. The best seats are on the Nagara riverbank between Nagara-bridge and Kinka-bridge. There are displays and stalls throughout the day, so wear your best Yukata and join the festivities. You can catch a bus from JR of Meitetsu Gifu Station to Nagara-bashi or Ukai-ya.
